About the artist
Simon Kneebone
Simon Kneebone is a potter based in West Cornwall. He takes his influences from the Far East and from British studio pottery, particularly from his home town of St Ives. He learnt his craft at Parade Mews Studios in South London and moved back to his childhood county to open a studio with his partner, Catherine Mountford.
Simon aims to create work that is simple, intuitive and gratifying to use. His glaze palette contains quiet, natural tones. The food or drink is the main event and their vessel is the frame.
