Rosa Harradine x Jeanette Orrell

Smaller than the tampico brushes, this arenga brush is coarser and is suitable for more heavy duty brushing and cleaning. Bound with hemp cord and a cotton strap that has been hand dyed with Indigo by mid-Wales based textiles artist, Jeanette Orrell.

Due to the handmade nature, slight variations will appear in each piece.

About the artist

Rosa Harradine x Jeanette Orrell

ROSA Based in Carmarthenshire, West Wales, Rosa Harradine works exclusively with natural, sustainable materials. As well as grounding herself in the creation of both beautiful and functional pieces, sustainability is incredibly important to Rosa with plans afoot to make her own natural dyes for the brushes cord binding. JEANETTE Jeanette Orrell is an artist who studied at Camberwell College of Art and now lives and works in Wales. Her work uses a combination of drawing and indigo dyeing- using traditional Japanese techniques such as shibori and katazome to create images on textiles alongside her drawing practice which often depicts and explores botanical subject matter.
