Milk Churn i ‘ Cottage, Nowhere’

Milk Churn i ‘ Cottage, Nowhere’

£350.00

This striking, hand-built stoneware piece was commissioned as part of the 2024 Craft Festival Wales Craft Trail, with support from National Museum Wales through Oriel Myrddin’s partnership with the National Contemporary Art Gallery for Wales. One of two works that draw inspiration from Kyffin Williams work, ‘Cottage, Nowhere’ celebrates Williams’ painting “Cottages, Llanddona,” through which Ella brings her own contemporary interpretation to these iconic Welsh landscapes.

Her work skilfully incorporates the depth, layers, and distinctive mark-making found in Williams’ art. Ella’s pottery reimagines it in a fresh and tactile form.

Due to the handmade nature, slight quirks will appear in each piece.
