Round Basket
£35.00
This beautifully crafted basket by Lewis Prosser features an elegant open weave, made using the “Irish Pairing” technique—a traditional method that intertwines two willow rods to enhance both strength and texture.
Constructed from Old French and Black Maul willow, this piece was created as part of Lewis’s response to the organic forms and functionality in Graham Sutherland’s preliminary sketches.
Although it wasn’t included in Lewis’s final structure for the Craft Festival Trail, this basket stands out as a striking example of skilled craftsmanship, perfect for both decorative and practical use.
